So the last time I did NaNo (and the only time I finished NaNo), I was almost 17k out of 50k done on November fourth.

I'm just above 7k this year, which is - technically - ahead of the game, but still. I've had two days off to work on it. Tomorrow I go back to work and I'm wondering what that'll do to my motivation.

Oh, and I am very sad for the loss of the NaNo!Worm. It's been five years, I know that, but still. I miss the NaNo!Worm.

RIP NaNo!Worm. I loveded you wormy. I LOVEDED YOU!

I don't have anything up on my NaNo page, save my word count, but if you want to find me I'm over here. Not sure if I am going to put anything up. Still debating on how to summarize the story without making it sound terrible. XD I also am not posting the story anywhere this year. I think it's a hundred times better than my last NaNo story, but I really don't think posting it anywhere will do anything for my self esteem and will just give me one more thing to keep track of this month.

ETA: I lied. I put some stuff up on the NaNo page. It looked so empty.

So I got stuck really early on in NaNo. I deleted everything I had and started over. I added in another supporting character, also based on a guildie. Points go to whoever can figure out which guildie he's based on. Guildie in question does know and I think I got a raised eyebrow, but as I do not know him IRL, I can only guess. Unfortunately, this character is something of Everybody's Bitch. Not on purpose, mind you (that's what Pig is for), but just because if they didn't have him, they'd be all over the place trying to figure shit out. I needed someone who was kinda there, in the background, going "No, actually, what you need is over here..." He doesn't really want keep things in line, but unfortunately for him, he's very good at it. And I'm kinda proud of this line I threw into his description:

He was a fantastic listener, but there was something unsettling about the little knowing smile he always wore when you were talking to him. Like you were telling a joke, only you didn’t know it, and he was the only one who knew the punchline.

Because I'm almost sure that's what he's doing IRL most days I'm ranting and raving about raids when they're not going well.

And now, since I have to work very early in the morning, I am heading to bed. *flop*
